Why exactly would the Ducks trade Zegras and Henrique for a late 2nd, a solid RHD, and 2 of Montreals cap dumps?

You don't think Montreal comes out a wee bit ahead here?

How the Ducks could trade Henrique and Zegras and not even get 2 1st rounders plus prospects to start shows this is a bad trade for the Ducks, don’t know how Verbeek keeps his job after this trade

Only thing that matters is the Montreal gets as good as possible for as little as possible! Duh!

Almost a whole comment about Montreal without saying something stupid. Savard isn't a cap dump, quit being dense.

If he was expiring or has retention then he’d have value. But 3.5M next year for a bad bottom pair caliber dman is a cap dump. He’s been legitimately worse than Tyler Myers for 3+ seasons. Yet Habs fans think they’ll get a 1st despite a significantly better dman in Tanev only getting a 2nd, 3rd, and mid level prospect
