HORRID idea. Just for starters, the Blues are not touching Mailloux. You guys need to go see a doctor about this Kyrou hysteria.

As a habs fan, I would never do this trade.

I really like Kyrou but not at this price. Caufield is younger, has a better contract and Mailloux is a really a good prospect for us. We only have Mailloux and Reinbacher as RD top prospect. I don't see Kent Hughes trading one of them.

Horrible deal for MTL, Caufield is better Kyrou, noting that he is 3 years younger. Adding Mailloux on top is a definite no-go. Just for reference, Cole is on his draft+5 season. Kyrou's D+5 season was basically his first real season, putting 0.63 ppg. Not bad, nowhere near what Caufield is doing at the same age

I wouldn't trade Caufield for Kyrou straight up let alone throw in a top four D man....
