The Rangers dont need a 2C, but you dont turn it down when its served up on a silver platter. Trocheck was not brought in to be a 2C, but hes turned into our best C. What he's signed for is an absolute steal. Putting Mittelstadt in the fold gives us ridiculous C depth, to the point that having him makes our 3rd line as good as most 2nd lines.

Schneider being the 2nd or 3rd best defenseman on this team isnt something to be proud of. Schneider hasnt exactly been stellar.

And you get rid of him and the defense gets worse lol lindgren and Trouba are the two biggest problems

Schneider is a keeper. I'd do 1 2 & 3 for Mitts though, then flip him after our run for near same return. Wouldn't pay him 7m, better off signing Stephenson 5.6m while keeping assets

Rangers pass, Schneider is not available. And the Rangers have a 2C, his name is Trocheck, and 3C that is hurt but will most likely be back next season, so overpay Mitts yourself or send him elsewhere.

No, I see his talent, size, physicality, young age, leadership potential and low cost. Trading him would be a colossal mistake.
