No first round pick, no isaac howard, there’s just no way the flames trade him to a team that essentially has no assets.

If you’re expecting Hanifin to be a Lightning then I think you’ll be pretty disappointed at the deadline.

Can swap Howard and Gauthier in those trades. Both have similar values and in my opinion Gauthier has more potential.
I have a feeling both of us might be disappointed with the deal. If he doesn't go to Tampa he will be viewed as a rental and you won't end up with the return you're hoping for.

People thought the same thing with the Tkachuk trade until he said he would sign with Florida, now however that trade has aged its the fact that a player can have more than one destination where he will sign long term.

Im fairly confident that Hanifin will sign long term wherever he’s traded and just cause Tampa is his first option doesn’t mean they’re his only option.
