There seems to be some mistake. Clearly, you meant this as an offer for Krug or Leddy.

You're willing to pay a 1st and a 2nd for Ferraro yet you stuff him on the 3rd pair. You pay a 5th and a contract for parayko and stick him on the first pair.

Regardless Blues jump at that offer. Probably the best of the 50 i've seen in the last month.

How many teams are lining up to take Parayko contract?

Not that many. Toronto takes all the risk and you get 6.5 million in cap space in the offseason

More about balancing out the pairs having a more balanced defensive group.

As well no to many team will give up a lot for Parayko especially with his contract. The most valuable asset STL gets is 6.5 million in cap space in the offseason.

6.5 million for what? By most calculations you aren't going to find a top pair defenseman for 6.5m in UFA. So what you've done is you've given us a boat load of risk and some cap space, probably around 9 million in cap space to find a full top pairing. And you haven't cleared the cap space that we need to clear in Krug

What on Earth are you babbling about? Just for starters, teams are calling on Parayko constantly, for years on end now. More importantly, where exactly is there a scintilla of risk for the Leafs here?

But hey, we get cap space! You guys need to watch some hockey. Stat.

He isn’t a top pair defenceman at the moment. He was and Toronto is hoping he will be.

That’s like saying Kevin Hayes is a 2nd line centre because he had 54 points last year.

No there isn’t. Only Toronto is. The other teams is the media being fed by Doug Armstrong.

Gotta read between the lines.

The only thing you're reading apparently is random beat writers just hoping for clicks

Parayko is not available. Plain and simple. Look elsewhere for a defenseman. Like Calgary or Philly. Go annoy those fan bases

Then don't trade for him? 99% of us are completely happy with him as a top pairing defenseman, you don't believe he is don't inquire. He's never going to be an analytics top guy, he's not used in a role that you need to be used in to be so. He's on a team with very inconsistent play from secondary forwards, in a role where he is used almost every defensive zone draw we have against any line aside from the 4th line. Almost all analytical data leans a lot on offensive output. He's not Cale Makar, and he's not playing with Auston Matthews or McDavid, and he's rarely starting a shift in the offensive zone. The sickening part is most analytics have shown Faulk or Krug as better than him

He hasn’t been a top pairing dman for better part of 2 years.

If the leafs had that contract you’d be asking for a kings ransom in return to take that contract lmfaoo

I mean the blues don't want to move him so other teams lining up to take him doesn't change anything

Again, if he’s so bad and the contract is that bad, why entertain the proposal?

It’s the same thing over and over again. I get if you’re just seeing something and seeing how it works. But in general to my understanding when you publish something on here you want input/discussion.

If your stance is he’s so bad you guys wouldn’t even take him for free. And all of us are saying the Blues aren’t and can’t trade him what does that tell you?

What did Bret burns go for?

You can’t even tell me cause that’s how little the return was. Expect the same for Parayko once he is moved

They’ve openly said they’re trying to move out salary on the back end.

No team wants krug (plus he veto any trade he’s involved in like last year), scandella and Faulk.

St. Louis isn’t in a position to give up assets

Did the Sharks full teardown? Are the Blues in a full teardown?

There's a point to where simply answering Parayko can't be traded just doesn't click for some of y'all and it's beyond incomprehensible. You seem to dip and dodge the questions most of the time and live in this idiotic notion that we are all asking for the world as opposed to saying he's not being traded or we can't trade him without a young replacement etc being brought back in return.

Now I apologize if that isn't the case in a couple of instances, but basing off the fact You've been on this site for the past two years I'm sure you've read one of the other 100 of these Parayko to Toronto threads that end the same way and should've gotten the point by now.

We are not in a position of full tearing down. We are not in a position of being able to trade Parayko and not full tear down. Thus there is no logical trade in which trading Parayko would make sense for the Blues unless we are just getting a younger defenseman that's a shutdown defenseman with a projectible path towards being a top pairing guy. Which Toronto does not have.

Yeah the salary they want to move is Faulk/Krug/Scandella and not Parayko. He's the one they want to keep and build around.
