camp roster

Created by: LuckyMoneyPuck
Team: 2024-25 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 6, 2024
Published: Mar. 6, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
They should role with it.
At least they would be a younger faster team with some bottom 6 upside.
They need to find some cheap 3rd pairing that can play decently. Not sure here.
I figure Johnson can PK so can Grzelcyk

Lekkerimaki is still not available. If we don't land Guentzel then so be it

        You are not JR

For JR there is no such thing as "not available"

Lindholm and Lekkerimäki for Guentzel is a terrible deal for the Canucks

Canucks aren’t giving up Lekkerimaki and Lindholm for Guentzel. Lekkerimaki is untouchable, but in this scenario since you seem to think he’s on the table then Lysell and the 1st would be going to Vancouver not Pittsburgh

Smith also can’t be traded to Vegas with retention

Every reporter close to Canucks are saying they'd prefer to keep all the young Swedes. Also, once again, he is not the GM

3rd team is retaining on VGK I'm just lazy to put that here. But they would want retention to fit him next year.

No one is untouchable for JR. Give that up.

VAN has already realized it's sunken costs. They aren't going to resign him and they aren't getting the play they need out of him.
So as much as you think it's a bad deal, those are already dead assets. At best BOS would give you Lysell.
But you can't move him there yourself as you can't make the cap work. Which is why BOS the Buyer pays for the 3rd party retention aka a 1st.

yeah go look at that roster aka PIT west and tell me who's making the decisions LOL

Don't care what a "reporter" says. This is JR we are talking about. He'll trade a 1st for Reaves.
He doesn't care about your draft picks, or developing prospects, he wants to win TODAY. A 40 goal scorer and cup in hand is better than 2 in the bush. or something like that.

No matter who retains VGK can’t acquire Smith with retention until the summer when it’s been one year since he’s been on their roster

And JR is not the GM, and every Canucks reporter/insider has confirmed that Lekkerimaki and Willander are both unavailable in trades

not sure about that retention part. As long as it's not the team they traded too I think they can come back with retention.
I too have thought at the beginning that the league would nix that.... but I don't see anywhere where they can't do that.
As long as there is an intermediary between the two.

Again I don't care what some reporter says. Everyone is untouchable till they are.
