Barron never had top 4 potential, Rosen was drafted with middle 6 potential that's the difference

Cool some fan blog, primary source, totally. He's so good, montreal fans have been dumping him for spare parts since October

Usually when a Team is strong in Certain areas they use that to improve other Areas. The Sabres don't know how to do that.

By spare parts I mean literal spare parts. Also the Sabres shouldn't be aiming for the freebie cast aways

That so stupid, Mtl aren’t trying to dump him he is a valuable assets that could be use as a trade chip to fix a position of need. Piss me off when people piss on young player like they are trash just to make them feel better about their players. Rosen at the moment doesn’t hold any more value then Barron. Rosen is a frele winger who progress well in the Ahl. He isn’t lightening up the Ahl. You act like he is a top Nhl prospect. The probability that Rosen doesn’t play in the Nhl is greater then the possibility that Barron become a bottom pairing defenseman at worst. Barron already shown that he can handle 15-16 minutes a night against bottom opposition. So cut the crap out about him not having potential. How many 22 years old defenseman play in the NHL in the top 4.

Yes the emperor can not like Barron but that doesn’t make him piece of trash. Barron is a valuable asset and any gm in the NHL would be thrilled to have a 6’2’’ right handed defenseman who skate like the wind in their organization. But i can’t expect you to understand that. You probably have scouted Barron on hockey db just like the majority of people around here.

I have ahl TV and have watched him play. I'm also way higher on Rosen than many of my compatriots because of same ahl TV but no haven't seen db but have looked at elite prospects ranking which is favorable but still don't love him. We have advantages in my castle and ahl TV a good one

7 games, 8 min of ice time, 8 shots,16 % faceoffs

He is clearly not close to be a top 6 forward. He have potential to get there for sure but i doubt he will pass in front of Quinn, Peterka, Cozens, Benson, Ostlund, Thompson, Tuch, Kulich, Savoie in a near future. At some point Buffalo will have to trade some of them or they will lose them on waivers or trade them at their lowest value.

I think what my fellow Sabres fans are arguing,
is that this would be “selling low” on Rosen and we still have plenty of time with him to see what he’s gonna be

He’s not a guy we are trying to move
And if we don’t see upside in Barron- which is understandable, then what’s the point of trading for him when u guys want someone who we do view having upside?

Also, Barron has played 2 half seasons in the NHL,
& u guys are talking about him like he’s an established regular

And also, Rosen is a winger, so who cares what his FO% is???
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Trying WAY TOO HARD to make him look bad.

If we wanted Barron, i think we’d be A LOT more likely to offer a pick for him
If we were gonna trade a prospect, someone like Kisakov might be more realistic from our end

That's cool, you are not the only one that has AHL TV and my son goes to RIT so I go to a bunch of games a year. And I am not taking anything away from Rosen, he's a very good Prospect, but that's all he is until he proves he can play at the NHL Level. Sabres have a lot of Wingers, some will need to be moved.

Thanks Anti. Joblowhard a angry mean habitat. We desperately need right d but he ain't it I don't believe and their desperation to dump him backs that up and I truly believe Rosen is going to be a smart third liner. He's pretty crafty slick and useful but I think blowhard knows this too

Agreed. We have a few that need to be packaged just want something better than Barron. For a Canadian ahl TV great to watch Amerks and all pros prospects coming up. Cheap winter past time I go to select Marlie games cuz Leaf tickets obscene

I try to, I mean I can see why this AGM was made from both Teams stand point. I wouldn't do the trade because I think Rosen will be the better player. But Barron is young and Dman take time. And whoever said Barron doesn't have Top 4 potential is just blowing smoke, it was all over his scouting reports, but they did say it could take a few years for his head to catch up to his Body.

we don'T dump him, that's call strength position trade. We have Mailloux, Reinbacher, Savard, Kovy, Ghule plays as well on the RD and this year draft is filled with RD

I’m not attached to Rosen at all
He’s a piece i could see us trading
But we are looking for an ESTABLISHED top4 RD,
not someone who MIGHT be a top4 guy one day

Again, it’s obvious u just don’t wanna hear that

I've watched out for right d at ahl level as possible targets like Iorio and Ottavainen because we're so short. Barron too but he looked not so good. I'd consider Rosen for the other two because of team need because the big name d like Reinbacher Willander Jiricek appear untouchable. But I'm no expert and wanted Jokiharu banished and am greatly surprised by his improvements. So I might be wrong
