Take Lysell out and I think that's the deal, with probably Forbort going to PITT.

I highly doubt that Ullmark deal happens mid season and NJ is supposedly set on Markstrom.

Agreed, VAN backed themselves into a corner wanting to move Lindholm so they have to take a hit. Also, I don't get that, Ullmark is better, cheaper, and younger.

1 if Boston can secure Holtz straight up for Ullmark, I’d be fine with that deal. Its one or the other between Holtz and the first I prefer Holtz to their first, because there is no way that isn’t playoff protected. I’d offer $1m to $1.5m in retention to enable it, but probably want an Akira Schmid to allow it to be a battle between Bussi, Schmid, and DePietro. I wonder if Holtz could go to Vancouver for Lindholm. He’d seem to be the type of player they’d want in Pittsburgh for Guentzel

2. The concept of Lysell and a #1 seems like too much for a player you can arguably sign outright in July. If you do the trade above, you could do a retained DeBrusk ($2m), which would allow DeBrusk to be flipped with double retention at $1m. You could do the same concept without the Holrz/Ullmark deal if you include Grz to Pitt.

3. For those that believe they can just offer Vancouver 10 cents on the dollar, they can’t get the deal with Pittsburgh done if you do that and will just keep Lindholm. If you want him, you’ll have to include Lysell at a minimum unless you use the return from Ullmark. Vancouver doesn’t have assets they are willing to give that can get Guentzel.

I just can't understand why folks think Boston will actually pay up for Lindholm.
