No need. Love the player but he's Florida bound and that's fine.

That's a pretty horrible offer for an extension. Unless he is very restrictive on where he'll extend, can't see Conroy accepting that.

I can't see Tampa able to offer much more and there hasn't been a lot of rumoured destinations for him.

I don't believe Yzerman was ever in on Hanifin.

I was in in him a month ago. With a similar proposal to this one. Who knows what Yzerman is thinking. Does anyone really know who he might be in on?

There's almost nothing of value in that package. A late first in 2025 or 2026 would probably be the equivalent of what you're offering here. 2024 is a week draft year, Holl is zero value at best, and the two other futures are minor collective positive value.

No not really. Truth is well we fans might have a good idea of what's going on in the front offices, plenty of us will be 100% wrong.

Tampa can't trade a first until 2026. There's definitely tvm when it comes to draft picks. Regardless, AJo is a fairly good prospect that brings a replacement to the Flames at that position. Probably NHL ready. Best I see Tampa offering is 26 1st and Isaac Howard - throw in whatever later round picks. But I'm not so sure Howard is really on the table and regardless, think this wings trade is better value still.

23 year olds still in the AHL showing little progression don't magically transform into "fairly good prospects." That delusional or lying. He's a C level at best prospect that is probably what? 10th best prospect for DET? Conroy gets that offer, wipes his ass with it, and sends it back to Yzerman.

With Yzerman you may as well wear a blindfold and throw a dart at a board full of names. LOL

If there's any leaks it'll be coming from other teams.

Not Yzerman.

He's the polar opposite of Big mouth Holland.

Anybody on/around the griffins compliments Ajo as their best Dman. That’s ahead of Edvinsson fyi. Ofc Ed has higher ceiling, but please. I think it’s at least fairly comparable to the guy Calgary got. I would say I nailed the value lol

And to add, VGK pick conditions are worse for Calgary here than my trade. So I doubt Conroy woulda wiped his ass with this offer

Do you believe Yzerman at least kicked the tires on Hanifin? And maybe wouldn’t do it with no promise of an extension..

Pagnotta claims Yzerman was interested in Hanifin.

But I don't know.

I think you're right though.

Yzerman would've needed an extension.

There's no Holl in the deal. No one wants that contract and you're doing nothing to compensate for taking him. So yeah, he wouldn't have considered it at all. Just like he didn't take Edmonton's offer with a 1st + Kulak/Ceci because they don't want cap hit on players coming back. Conroy already did that for Lindholm and it did improve the return no doubt.

Better draft pick (1st is higher and not yanked around on which year it is) and Ajo is better than Mira. But whatever dude
