This team is weaker than we were this season... We still have the issue of having 3 big money LD.....

I'd MUCH rather keep Brodin. Pass.

I disagree, we make the goaltending better 10 fold, and Brodin is a type of player we need. Pairing him with Sanderson works perfectly, as one is defensive and the other isn't. We also get a better 4C, and in my opinion 4th line is better, along with the 3rd. The 2nd line is a slight downgrade, but is more balanced. And the LHD point is fair, but Sanderson has played right before, and I don't see why he couldn't adjust and pair with Brodin.

Sanderson isn't an offensive defenseman....He's more of a defensive guy. Doesn't think the game offensively all that well. Defensively though he's great with his positioning and being able to use his feet. Brodin doesn't help our PP at all which needs to improve if we're to get better. Vegas (Pietrangelo), Col (Makar), TB (Hedman/Sergachev), Pit (Letang)..... See the pattern? You need a go-to offensive defenseman. Sanderson maxes out at 50 points. As it is we don't really have a top end offensive defenseman. Just outside of Zub we don't really have any good defenseman defensively either....

Actually that does make sense, but I do really like what Sanderson brings offensively. I think we can still use Chabot to quarterback the power play, but I think what Brodin brings is stabilazies our defense 5 on 5 and on the PK which hasn't been great at times. Sanderson is what i'd tier as a 2 way defender, but I do, like I said, think he brings some good offense as well. I think using Chabot less 5 on 5 and more for the power play could be a good move, if we where to bring in a more defensive defender this off season. However I do really like some of the points you make.
