Canes pass, Smith doesn't do anything. Middle 6 winger is not an issue. Gamebreaking winger or a center upgrade would be points of interest. Crosby, Guentzel, not Eller and Smith. Not saying there will be deals, obviously, just that Smith does nothing

Just because you don't want Hoglander in play, doesn't mean he isn't in play. You may still be getting used to GMJR, but as a Penguins fan, I can tell you from experience that he is willing to ignore popular opinion in order to get a guy he wants. It led him to two Stanley Cups. His methods are unorthodox, but he has vision like no other. If I were a Canucks fan, I wouldn't want to lose Hoglander either. But to claim a guy is not in play, no matter who reported it, is ridiculous. We'll know who's not in play after the trade occurs.
