Morrow isn't in the deal apparently, hoping for Nadeau and blake, Morrow doesn't fill a need anyway with EK and letang

Pleasantly suprised at this. Was ok with letting him go for Guentz but I think he fits the timeline for us on defense very well. Wonder where this goes now. Blake? Nadeau?

Depending on who the prospects are that a bit of an underwhelming return

So bitter the penguins wouldn't take Raty, Mikheyev and a 2nd

Better be nadeau and then I'd be good with either Koivunen or ponomarev or blake

final guess :

Conditional 2nd that can become a 1st + Nadeau + Blake + Bunting

Morrow makes no sense for the penguins, but I can see why CAR would have wanted to move him.
He's 3rd year NCAA. If he chooses to return he can go where ever he wants the next year.
That's bad for both PIT and CAR. It would be one thing if he was signed.... but he's not.

Yea the more i thought about it the less sense Morrow makes for Pittsburgh. They already have 2 offensive RHD and though they're older, they have a lot of term left and it would create a major logjam when Morrow is NHL ready in the next year or two.

The Canucks would have to part ways with Boeser. They did not want to pay that much.

I'd like Koivunen too or maybe even ponomarev. Better have Nadeau though....

I think the whole next year or two is really the main issue.
I don't know that Morrow wants to wait to get to the NHL.
He can play his own hand, if he's told the plan is to go sit in the AHL, he has no reason not to return to UMass finish his 4th year and then pick his destination of choice where he will start right away no bs.

This is why I don't see him included. CAR has the same issues. If they resign Pesce where does he play other than 3rd pairing if that.

This is a prospect to watch because he might be like Marino was and want to choose the best path for himself.
