i did see the rumours swirling a bit about PLD ending up in boston but we don't quite have the cap space to make that work and i don't see Boston giving up ullmark for a rental.

If it’s DeBrusk and Ullmark being traded for PLD and a backup goalie, it is actually a pretty clean trade financially. Not sure if either side has the guts to do it, but there is logic behind it even if I assume it will be highly unpopular at first

Moving from jovial, mental health first, team brother, great goalie Linus Ullmark to PLD is basically about as far away on the spectrum as you can get … but if PLD is what he can be, it’s a trade that could give Boston 4 young centerpieces between Pasta, McAvoy, Swayman, and PLD

New Jersey probably would be incented to take one year contracts and retain money to make it viable for either side if it means upgrading their goalie situation because Toffoli and let’s say Akira Schmid by themselves should NOT net a goalie of the caliber of Linus Ullmark. It would be a tidy piece of business for NJD that would deserve claps.

PLD is a high risk, high reward player. I’d hope after being relegated to a third line role that he’d relish playing in between Pasta and Zacha.
