Montreal decline. If we move the pick, it won't be for Necas

Just look that's a Habs fan who make that.

Necas is a underrated option and nobody talks about him. He is a offensive player who can score and he plays on the two sides of the ice. And he can play in the top 6.

That's him or Zegras that Montreal should target for their young player.

Skjei definitely gets a lot more money.

Which makes the STL trade a no go. We shouldn’t retain either.

Rather Necas than Z, that's for sure. Rather keep the pick than both of them. Not against trading it, but I want it to be for someone better.

If he really want to stay with Carolina, that's my maximal offer for him.

Hmm. Very creative. The Blues might actually go for that. However, it makes no sense to have both teams retaining on one year deals. Just make the Blues retention amount 1.15M.

Necas is a player I would be willing to move our first for, unless Celebrini, Demidov, Eiserman or Catton is available

That's give more cap flexibility about retention. Teams can't rentain more than 3 contracts, and I don't really see the Blues wanted to rentain on Faulk and his 3 other seasons.

I don't understand what you're getting at.

- The Blues retaining 2.9 and you retaining 1.75 = 1.15M net retained by the Blues.
- The Blues retaining 1.15M and you nothing = 1.15M net retained and you keep your retention slot open.

I think a retention for the Canes on Orlov can eventually open somes opportunities if the Blues for example miss the playoffs and put afterward Orlov on the TDL market at only 3M.

Nah, Necas over Lindstrom. We have enough big guys and he doesn’t really have ppg potential

That's I said also, but I think all of the 5 players will gonna be gone before the 8th overall spot. Eiseman and Lindstrom are my favorite targets.
