Hawks might consider this. McNabb is still a solid player. Basically getting him for free. Would let the Hawks send Korchinski to Rockford to start next season to get his game together. McNabb half retained would bring back a solid return in a trade as well.

I agree. Some elevated roster competition could help get some of these kids to the next level in their development, as well. I don't mind it at all. The trick is not bringing in "roster competition" with too much term. McNabb's term is just right, imo.
