Juulsen is proving they don't need Myers especially if adding someone like Tanev.

Pod better start scoring otherwise he'll be in the $800K club

I dont think they will bring lekky up next year, it will take a bit for him to learn the NA game. I like the toff signing but I think they are ready to let lindholm walk. Too inconsistent to make a long term commitment to him.

Caps don't need Mikheyev. They have enough middle 6ers and younger guys coming up, but maybe another team will

I think he'll prove himself and make the team in training camp, if he plays in the AHL next year it burns a year of his ELC, he may wind up in the AHL but I doubt it, I think he comes in right away and competes for the Calder. Lindholm I think gets brought back, he finally looks at home on that 3rd line with Garland and Podz, also if he's not brought back it leaves a massive hole in the lineup.

Hoglander played almost all of last season in the AHL and still got $1.1M, Podz likely gets more since he played his way back into the lineup, no chance he gets 800K. Also all reports are saying that management wants to bring Myers back and Myers wants to be here to be closer to home, extension likely gets done before the playoffs.

Pod is nowhere near Hog's offensive level and neither was he prior. His rookie year was decent but Hog is trending to top 6. Pod is trending toward bottom 6. Not saying it'll be $800K for sure but don't see him getting more than Hog on a bridge. I'm probably knit picking but we'll see. Just by getting back to the lineup doesn't mean he'll get more. If anything I see a one year deal under $1M for Pod to prove it.

Myers playing his best in a contract year. Risky business imo. Especially if Lindholm gets a big offer in UFA in a weak FA group.

I think he has started to look comfortable with podz and garly but you dont want to pay a third liner over 7m. Also if he plays in the AHL due to him being 19 and having less than 10 NHL games played he would be able to play in the nhl and the ELC would "slide" to next season.

He turns 20 in July so he would be burning a year, he'll be sheltered and played in an offensive role but more likely than not he plays in the NHL next season. Also with Lindholm he's more than a 3rd liner, he'll lead our PK and can seamlessly step into Miller or Pettersson's role should they get hurt. Idk but I'm a big believer in the importance of having 3 elite centers

My apologies he will be 20, your right. I like lindholm but I think he will price himself out, hopefully not though! I do really hope they get toffoli. New management has shown they will be patient with prospects and with the jump from euro to NA ice surface I think there will be growing pains with lekki so its best to give him time but if he is on the team next year I will be excited to see how he does! I think you def gotta play him on one of the top lines tho as he will struggle without guys around him to get him the puck (being a sniper)
