fair enough, will be interesting to see what he can do given the situation. Wonder where Crosbys head is at right now. He will be a pending ufa next year.

Realistic Next Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Julius_Freezer</b></div><div>He turns 20 in July so he would be burning a year, he'll be sheltered and played in an offensive role but more likely than not he plays in the NHL next season. Also with Lindholm he's more than a 3rd liner, he'll lead our PK and can seamlessly step into Miller or Pettersson's role should they get hurt. Idk but I'm a big believer in the importance of having 3 elite centers</div></div>
My apologies he will be 20, your right. I like lindholm but I think he will price himself out, hopefully not though! I do really hope they get toffoli. New management has shown they will be patient with prospects and with the jump from euro to NA ice surface I think there will be growing pains with lekki so its best to give him time but if he is on the team next year I will be excited to see how he does! I think you def gotta play him on one of the top lines tho as he will struggle without guys around him to get him the puck (being a sniper)

Alter the DNA
I like this concept, although I dont know if NYI will move barzy as they are remaining competitive. I also think ullmark may stop a trade to philly if he stopped one to LA

They got the cap, gain draft capital and a prospect for a pending ufa. Obviously its not perfect but just a concept of van moving out mikheyev for a top 6. I wouldnt mind keeping mikeyhev, hes still recovering from knee surgery and has gotten better game by game. Looks like hes a fit on that JT and boeser line.

If thats the case that would be awesome, although there will be tons of interest so I think they may have to offer more than they are willing

Realistic Next Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Julius_Freezer</b></div><div>I think he'll prove himself and make the team in training camp, if he plays in the AHL next year it burns a year of his ELC, he may wind up in the AHL but I doubt it, I think he comes in right away and competes for the Calder. Lindholm I think gets brought back, he finally looks at home on that 3rd line with Garland and Podz, also if he's not brought back it leaves a massive hole in the lineup.</div></div>
I think he has started to look comfortable with podz and garly but you dont want to pay a third liner over 7m. Also if he plays in the AHL due to him being 19 and having less than 10 NHL games played he would be able to play in the nhl and the ELC would "slide" to next season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Julius_Freezer</b></div><div>no chance PIT retains if Mikheyev is going the other way, also no chance I'm giving Tanev that much until he's 37, he's not the same player he was when he was here</div></div>
Mikeyhev still holds value around the league as a pk, managers also understand that hes coming off a huge surgery. He has gotten better as the season has gone on. Dubas also loves his former players which is why I think he would do it. Tanev I agree but hughes seems to be pushing for him so I think the org will attempt to bring him back, were in on him at the deadline and put out a competitive offer that was beaten by dallas

dont think flordia will trade their starter whos been great since the playoffs last year. Especially with the uncertainty behind knight these days.

I dont think they will bring lekky up next year, it will take a bit for him to learn the NA game. I like the toff signing but I think they are ready to let lindholm walk. Too inconsistent to make a long term commitment to him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bb1983</b></div><div>- Ian Cole is not taking a 67% pay cut

- Poolman and Lekkerimaki aren't going to be on the roster next season
- This team is soft as hell</div></div>
TBF cole will be signing a 35+ contract so he prob will lol (giordano as comparable) and DeSmith signed his current contract in a 1A 1B role so fair to assume he may take a cut with term as a backup
