I would be entertained by what TOR fans think??? PIT should do this in a heartbeat to set themselves up for the future; but I can't see TOR ever doing anything close to this...

I love Sid and would kill to have him on this team. But it just seems too much. People love to **** about Marner, but he's elite. I could live with the first, and even Knies, but a big contract would have to clear to make space for Crosby.

Perhaps during the off-season something could be arranged whereby Marner goes not to the Penguins but to a third team, one that can afford him, perhaps Nashville, in exchange for one of their younger forwards (Evangelista?) and a pick, or D-man like Fabbro, I dunno. But Marner to 3rd team for young replacement forward ready to be something, but way cheaper. That fits Crosby, maybe not Graves, but maybe "Bonehead Brad", quoting my fellow Flames fan colleague Mox lol, can summon something magically capfriendly for them *name drop*.

I take everything he says with a pile of salt myself. I love Mitch, but I really would like to see him traded. We need to change the makeup of this team in a big way. Less creampufferie would be kinda nice for once.

What contract did you have in mind to move? Brodie?

Not sure, just spitballing. Brodie is a UFA, so they can just not re-sign him I suppose!

Agreed, a true blue power forward winger, a Landeskog type, would be nice. Or center..

lol Not enough there to get Marner on his own. If PIT was willing to give up Crosby AND Malkin and eat 50% on the rest of both their contracts, maybe you consider giving them Marner. Just Marner. Nothing else. Maybe.
