I don’t think you realize how good Slaggert is, and he fits the ducks style more than Z. Also a Chi 2nd is basically a late first in terms of value

How can we when his stats are ho-hum, he was a 3rd round pick, has zero professional stats, and never even went PPG at the college level as a senior. He looks to be a fine middle 6 piece, but Anaheim has plenty of those, we'll keep our top line piece.

As always, a handful of middle 6 assets doesn't come close to getting Zegras.

This is a troll-level effort. Let's forget about minor items like shortchanging a first-round draft pick on his ELC or forgetting to sign three of our RFAs (including our projected #3C) or almost getting all the ones you did sign wrong on their Qualifying Offers. The Zegras trade is just a joke; we wouldn't give Chicago Alex Killorn for that. (By the way, there's no assurance that the Chicago second will be "basically a late first in terms of value" because it's the 2025 pick.) The statement that Slaggert "fits the Ducks style more than Zegras" is utterly fatuous; Zegras led the team in scoring last season (which indicates a pretty nice fit) and Slaggert has yet to play a minute of professional hockey, so we have absolutely no reason to believe that he fits ANY particular team's style of play.

No need to sign a third goalie and preliminary indications are that Tristan Luneau is going to be given a strong opportunity to earn a spot on the roster next season, so Hakanpaa, who did not leave Anaheim on good terms, is unnecessary.

Tyler Toffoli will find a team to play in their top 6.

Huh? I mean... I'm a hawks fan, and I would love if Slaggert was this valuable, but I ask you again, huh?

He's probably a Jem'Hadar, values physicality too high, still green, etc.
