Trades
MTL
  1. Kyrou, Jordan
Additional Details:
I've heard the blues may look to move him before his full NTC kicks in on July 1st, 2025, especially if they intend on rebuilding. I like the idea of Kyrou more than Necas, Zegras, etc. because he's got a long-term deal at a reasonable cap hit for what he's capable of, and the cap certainty that comes with that contract
STL
  1. Engström, Adam [Reserve List]
  2. Harris, Jordan
  3. Harvey-Pinard, Rafaël
  4. Mesar, Filip
  5. 2024 1st round pick (WPG)
  6. 2025 1st round pick (CGY)
  7. 2025 2nd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
2 1sts (later 1sts but 1sts none the less), a 2nd, a former 1st (Mesar), 2 young depth players (RHP, Harris) and a former 3rd rounder (Engstrom).

Is this fair? If the blues reportedly wanted the equivalent of 2 1sts for Buchnevich then I think Kyrou would be a bit more, which I think this meets that criteria

If you would've read it you would see Gretzky got more than 3 1sts, and this return isn't even relatively close to what Gretzky got

Dude just stop deflecting.

The Great one is the ONLY ONE EVER traded for 3x1st. NOT ONE Hall famer, NOT Eichel, NOT Seguin, NOT Roy, NOT Thornton, NOT Pronger (but close) AND 100% NOT KYROU, a player with worse production than Suzuki.

Keep reading it until you understand it.

Just a point of order, Suzuki is only outproducring Kyrou this season. Kyrou easily topped him the last two seasons. And Suzuki plays way more minutes than Kyrou. Even this season, his scoring rate is only 2.7 P/60 to Kyrou's 2.4. So saying Kyrou "has worse production than Suzuki" is rather misleading at best.

Not misleading at all. Suzuki is outproducing him this season and carreer wise, on top of being one year younger.

Playing more minutes is a weak excuse. If Kyrou was better, he would play more. Nobody would argue McKinnon's TOI is the reason for his production. If anything, it shows STL's coach doesn't trust Kyrou all around game like Suzuki's.

I'm going to answer both your points with a little career stats comparison.

PPG
Suzuki .76
Kyrou .76

5v5 PPG
Suzuki .48
Kyrou .57

P/60
Suzuki 2.33
Kyrou 2.85

5v5 P/60
Suzuki 1.47
Kyrou 2.12

And even with this season, the last three seasons combined favor Kyrou by every points metric.
