No one that Tavares would go to can fit him.

You'll have to buy him out or atleast retain 50%.

I say just keep him. That's a preposterous amount to spend on 3 RHD and I'd rather have Tavares than betuzzi and domi

It cost a 1st to move 1 year of Marleau and Monahan at 6 mil, thinking it will only cost a 2nd to move 1 year of an 11 mil contract is hilarious, it will cost at least a 1st and probably more like 2 1sts. No one outside of Toronto wants an 11 mil 3C

I'll say it. It's such a silly proposal moving NMC Tavares. Kinda funny this distain for the suddenly aging Tavares, but then the author signs three UFAs to their mid thirties.

It still costs way more than a 2nd to move 11 mil. It costs a 1st to move 6. If you want to dump almost double that it probably costs 2 1sts and it doesn't matter what the new team will get later for retaining.

LMAO, so was Monahan and Marleau, both were top 6 players that still cost a 1st to dump. JT is a 3C making 11 mil, if you think it would cost a 1st to move Dvorak at 4.5 mil, how much would you have to pay to move JT at 11 mil?!
