They haven't had cap room for several years now and it's going to be that way for the rest of the window. Ritchie isn't going to be ready next year, they can trade Manson and they should get Mitts to take a little less if they're going 8 years.

This is a good example of how Landy affects Mitts' next contract. Casey already has 50pts and Salary Arbitration rights. His comps eclipse $5M easily, so even in Arb he'll get close to this AAV. No chance the Avs let him even sniff UFA, considering they gave up Byram. We see no room for scratches on this roster, which is a big problem. This all means that, if the Avs are serious about Landy coming back: someone else is getting traded.

Manson is the ideal candidate

Losing Manson and Byram while not resigning Walker isn’t ideal. Would need cheap fillers who aren’t great.
