Roy is a Michigan boy.

Detroit will definitely be an option.

Yeah a Petry buyout doesn't really help anything.

800k saved and 1.59 mil against the cap.

Not a fan of Chiarot playing on his opposite side. 🙄

Well Maata-Ghost would be the ideal 3rd pair but they can’t get rid of Holl, Chiarot and Petry lol.

Steve Yzerman is actually Cole Eiserman as a GM . One way talent not an all around talent

Ghost won't be re-signed if Yzerman can get Roy.

Yzerman built that powerhouse in Tampa.

Don't forget that.

Yzerman also won 3 Cups as a player.

To dismiss him is just you being a jackass.

Very limited on what was available each year. Trying to make a roster better by almost strictly signing free agents for temporary fixes is quite difficult. Considering last season we had the 24th best offense and now are currently ranked 8th. Been near the top all season long as well. The team is a bit better defensively as well, although it may not seem like it.
The plan is to build through the draft. Most of the players signed will not be around when this team is competitive.
But again, looking at who was available at free agency, we did alright.

Yeah Roy isn't getting over $8M. He probably gets around $6.5M.

Because losing doesn't sell tickets? There is still the financial aspect to the game that alot of people forget about. I remember watching games a few years ago, when we had the worst team in the league, the arena was pretty empty. Also, at least I feel this, it is important to start building a winning culture within the organization or else we will just end up like Arizona or Buffalo.
