I'd be willing to go with Monahan at 3C in a pinch, but that term would be too long. Not to say he is my top pick, but not many great options in UFA. Would like to see a list of guys that best fit the Devils style, specifically to probably play with Haula and Holtz/Mercer.

Don't go after a center in UFA. The market is awful.

Haula, Hughes, Lazar, Haula, Mercer can all play C. grab a 4C like Strum or Evans via trade if needed.

Go get a speedy winger in UFA.

Foegele for speed and Trenin for size should be targets.

I like Trenin for 4LW, but I have never liked Mercer at 3C as much as I wanted it to happen. Maybe he grows into it...? But at the same time, maybe he doesn't and we are just another center injury away from being in the hell we've been in for our bottom 6. If there are noooo good options, I guess Haula would be it, but I'd like to see some kind of insurance there of someone who could actually play 2C if/when an injury occurs. I got to see Sturm in college and I like him for a bottom 6, it's just going to be so hard to replace what McLeod brought to the bottom six.
