Another former NHL enforcer has passed far too soon, Simon was just 52, he was one of the toughest players of his era.

Hopefully the PA is doing something for his family.

Guy had problems well before he got into the league, being an enforcer is irrelevant

There are studies that have shown on average NHL enforcers die 10 years younger than non-enforcers. He may have had problems before, but to say being an enforcer is irrelevant is wrong.

Studies are skewed. And absolutely can not account for the numerous variables in such a specific group of people

Ok buddy. Keep denying science while more and more NHL enforcers die too young.

Rofl denying science. You're one of those. Science is never settled and data is always skewed. The study even admits that most of the deaths are self inflicted and therefore loosely corolated with CTE with zero evidence presented. That's not a good study

Your bad reading comprehension is showing. "In addition, the enforcers were more likely to die of suicide and drug overdose, common occurrences in people with CTE."

thats not bad reading compression, thats exactly what i just said and an example of people skewing what they see to deliver their own message. common occurrences in CTE is corrolation, but there is 0 evidence presented that those specific players died because of CTE and not because of millions of other possible reasons. CTE is not the only cause of self harm. All they have is a loose corroloation. Thats hardly concrete
