The Pens are probably better off sticking Rakell on Crosby's wing more permanently, betting on a rebound season, and going from there.
The guy's been super snakebitten this season and doesn't have a whole lot of synergy with Malkin. He scored 60 points last year. 2 2nds is a lot for a guy that had such a good season so recently.

AZ is not signing any of those UFAs (maybe klyington) they only have, after the RFAs are signed, 3 roster spots left open. and most of those guys are not wanted/needed
the CAR trade is pass for AZ - not locking in Kotka for 6 x 4.8m - too risky
rackell is not needed - 30yo 3W for 4 x 5m is least of AZ needs

Not a chance pens do that trade . Rakell isn’t living up to his contract this season but he just had nearly 30 goals and 60 points just last year . He isn’t that much of a cap dump worth giving up what could turn into very high 2nd round picks
