Habs say yes to this but I don't something like this being realistic...Barron hasn't been able to establish himself yet on a poor blueline with a weak right side despite the Habs giving him every opportunity to solidify his spot. Make or break next year for him...maybe Crosby likes the NS connection? I believe Barron/Cros skate together in Halifax in the summer

the habs should do this if it's a possibility.

Lucius is point-per-game in the NCAA for the 2nd season in a row, a 2nd rounder is a good prospect or trade piece, and Eller can be traded, bought out, or a roster player for next season. I'm at the point with Barron where I don't see it working out, might as well get value for him before we can't, and this is exactly that

Need to add more value for Karlsson. FSG isn't paying $15m in dead money over three years for a decent package. It would have to be an overpayment because Karlsson is probably break even ~$7.5m.

Nah, this is a good return for him. Eller can be a fill-in for 1 year as a 4th line center and traded at the deadline.

Barron is still young and the Habs are looking to trade the RD prospects. They have Reinbacher, Mailloux, Barron on the right side and they need to see if they pan out

Value on the Barron trade is probably fair but the Habs aren't a team looking for more prospect depth and picks. They'd probably want to use Barron as part in a bigger trade to get an established higher end asset.
