Just a test

Created by: Howie
Team: 2024-25 Florida Panthers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 20, 2024
Published: Mar. 20, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Just seeing how the cap works for Florida next year keeping reinhart, montour, Lundell etc. Cap compliant and signed some depth. Knight was the cap casualty but since he's young Florida should be able to get something for him and then sign a goalie when Bob is up or develop from within.

What would be your plan if Lundell gets Offer Sheeted? Lets say somewhere in the 4.5 - 6.5 range so you would get a 1st and a 3rd back.

FYI not a Florida fan. OS are so rare that I really wouldn't worry about it unless it happens in the case of the 1/1000s. So all in all I wouldn't be worried if i was a Florida fan as the only teams that could do a os in the range where it question it is 1st and 3rd and only non contending teams have that cap and those teams won't risk an unprotected pick.

All in all OS are so rare so no worries at all!

If you aren't retaining on Knight, no one wants him. He's an AHL goalie being paid $4.5M.

What would be the price for Portillo at $4.5M x3 ?

That is definitely fair, I wish we saw more of them. Unfortunately NHL GMs are boring and don't want to offend each other along with the other reasons you also mentioned above.
