I mean, that's REALLY not a good sign. I never seen a head coach deciding to healthy scratch his captain.

Props for the creativity and you are correct Habs desperately need a 3C but I think 6 more years of Couturier is too much risk for Habs management.

The Canadiens have a ton of cap space in the next 3 years, even when including Anderson’s and Gallagher’s contracts. They don’t need to dump Anderson. The negative impact of the last 3 years of that Couturier contract will outweigh the benefits of its first 3 years.

He had like 1 point in 15 games. I wish MSL had done that to Josh Anderson a few times.

Yeah but Torts is known for his unusual decisions. I think its jumping the gun to assume we'd dump him over two scratches. If anything I'd thing Torts would have a higher chance of getting sacked.
