Remove the retention and Calgary considers it if NJ's pick is around 10-12 OA. Much later than that and forget it.

Who do we think Markstrom is? A 10 overall would be an insane return. Do you have a comparable trade for a 35-36 year old goalie?

You are truly going to be heartbroken if/when he is dealt. This is a crazy high ask for a goalie of his age, cap hit, and term.

I’m still not sure how that gets the10 overall plus additional assets. It’s a terrible trade for NJ

Fleury was the reigning vezina winner.

He had a 0.928 and 1.98 GAA, markstrom did not have better numbers than that
