Easy pass for the Kings. Also if any Canadian team wants Roy they are going to have to fork up 6m+ because Canadas taxes are so stupid high.

i mean it's a valid argument but you forgot the fact that the kings lose out on this bargaining power considering California has the highest MTRs in the country

pretty sure Cali's top combined tax rate is something crazy like ~54% last i heard, which is more than anywhere in Canada (although not by much)

If the Kings have $2.1 million to spend on a bottom-6 forward, they'd much rather give that money to 26-year-old Blake Lizotte than to 33-year-old Calle Jarnkrok.

No Canada's highest national tax rate is 25.75% with Quebec having a 33% or combined 58.75% while the US Highest tax rate (federal) is 37% and CA STATE tops out at 14.4% or a combined 51.4%

I didn't realize Jarnkrok was 33 (next September)?

I remember when he didn't want to compete for a roster spot with Detroit and Holland traded him to Nashville for rental David Legwand before the trade deadline.

Time flies! 😲

Meyer is a useful callup and a local kid done good; there's no profit in trading that for an ECHLer.
