I dont think so. A lot of the sharks rebuild seems to be cleaning out as much cap space as possible as soon as possible. Getting Vlasic off the books earlier is better than waiting the extra year.

I don’t see San Jose taking on more years on cap dumps when they could just keep their own and be free of the cap earlier. A 3rd and a 7th won’t change that
