Not saying you won’t get a 2nd for 1/2 size Robo, but I am saying you sure as heck aren’t from Pat Verbeek

Looks reasonable to me…only concern is Domi @ 2C, I just don’t see it working come playoffs.
Lili overpaid by about a mill, so wondering if there is another FA C we can sign for ~$5M?
And Benoit over Rifai

Like the forwards but don't think Leafs can get Walker than cheap, and Roy is a real stretch for the Leafs to sign. Gotta think Benoit at 1.5m on the team, Maybe Luby at 2.75, and then have over over 5m left for a Walker, Demelo, or Tanev signing.
A second (near a first) for Robertson....doubtful.

It's Boston's second, so it's more in line with an early 3rd. If Walker costs more, then the Leafs can simply waive one of the scratches and give that money to Walker. Is Roy really a stretch? Seems like the perfect partner for Mo and is easily affordable. I wouldn't mind bringing Benoit back but Rifai is half the cost and is a very similar player (who also loses waiver exemption next season which is a factor). He skates extremely well, is a real pest, and did VERY well in his 2 games with the Leafs. Dont really have interest in bringing Lyubushkin back either, much rather bring back Edmundson

Why do Leaf fans think Roy will sign with the Leafs? Lots of teams....some with more cap can afford. Just don't think the Leafs are a priority for this Michigan boy.

Because it's all about opportunity. This is a job for these players. They want to go where they can play, make money, and have a good quality of life. Toronto is close to Michigan, is by all accounts a world class organization, and will no doubt offer a huge opportunity to Roy on the top pair. It's not always as simple as someone being from somewhere. Look at Krug winding up in St. Louis when his hometown Red Wings were in the mix, or ROR leaving his hometown to go to Nashville.
