He’s not getting more than Chucky. He gets 9 tops and I think that’s too high. One great season isn’t worth over paying to dismantle the team.

This might be the worst ekblad trade I’ve seen. Why trade him for someone even slower and worse plus why do they want a mid first when they’re competing now

If FLA wont pay him he's gone. This is his last payday and the cap's going up. He is one of the big FA names out there he is getting paid.

He is on pace for 58 goals and 96 points with the potential chance to reach 100 thats up there with the season chucky had.

There will be plenty of teams lining up to give him that money many of which will be good

It's already reported by Friedman he won't get Chucky numbers. And after signing Forsling to 5.75 million per, this is a fair for eight years. Reinhart isn't a 100 point player career wise and is older than Tkachuk.

Friedman didnt say that he said he would have to take less than he could get elsewhere lul

But what 9.5 is in California or Canada is 8-8.5 in Florida so why not stay where you’re comfortable and competing for the same money or a hair less

Cause you can go somewhere an potentially get more via bonuses and stuff. Someone may throw double digits at him

But in the end if im him im going Chucky minimum or bye. Why should I take a discount when caps going up I scored almost 60 I want my $$$$$

Or his past 3 seasons with Florida he’s been under a ppg pace. But if he wants more than 8.5 from Florida let him go. They can find someone to be 70-80 point player for cheaper plus no contender has 10 mil to spend on him so it will be the bottom feeder teams.

I did figure out that 9.5 on Florida is about equal to 11.5 in Canada. So I can see him taking what would look like a discount compared to what some other teams can offer. That said, he will still want to get paid. 9.5 is basically the same as Nylander.
aedoran and Hockey91 liked this.
