Canes decline. You could get Drury for Joki, but probably not picks

Would be preposterous to sign hanifin to that contract.

We paid dahlin, power, Samuelsson and will pay byram

So you’re saying that Drury is worth less than a second round pick. I would certainly offer a third round pick and not be too upset if that were the cost. I’d rather keep Jokiharju unless his contract demands are completely nuts.

No, I'm saying Drury's value is at about a 2nd, and it makes more sense for the Canes to part with a player stuck in a logjam than to move the picks... don't try and put words in my mouth tears of joy

That point wasn’t exactly clear. But it is now. I don’t know if the Sabres are looking for another guy who would play third line minutes, because Krebs is doing that right now. What they really need is a dedicated fourth line Center who wins face offs, can kill penalties, and is responsible in his own end. I doubt Drury would want to be that guy, or he would probably be happy to stay in Carolina.

He wanted a trade a few years ago for a larger role. Drury's been better than Krebs this year, so it is an upgrade on the third line. He is solid defensively and kills penalties.

Great to see you back at the TOTAL NONSENSE @Sabrebluehs

1- Jokiharju trade is CRAP for us

2- SJ trade is just STUPID for the Sharks

3- and speaking of stupid, the Hanifin signing defies even the slightest bit of logic whatsoever

Just another HORRIBLE job dude
