Habs decline.

Barron is better than soderstrom.

They arent trying to downgrade picks

They arent trying to pay to move armia or dvorak

Would need to take back Anderson or Gallagher to make it happen i suppose?

More the fundamental premise is flawed.

The habs arent looking for lateral moves or quantity over quality moves. By most prospect pool analysis they have one of the deepest pools in the league.

Someone like Soderstrom doesn't add positive value to them. He requires waivers next year and he wouldnt be one of the teams top 7-8 dmen.

If they are moving out barron and a 1st they either are looking for a pick upgrade (like into the top 20) or a good young player who actually can make the top 9 (like newhook)

They have a boatload of cap space sp they dont need to move guys for cap relief

Great question!

I put my money on either riding it out or a retool. It would be hard to tear it down, if so I would expect Pelech, Pulock and Nelson all to be traded. I hope for a retool in which the team gets rid of Lee and Pageau which frees up 12 million in cap

If Horvat and Dobson are available I would love for GMBA to make an offer regardless of price

Arizona is my 2nd favorite team so if they go anywhere I would hope Arizona

Hope they can stay in Arizona. As an Islander fan trust me I know how annoying it is to be told you don't deserve a team and everyone wanting you to move. Everyone acts like its the fans fault ignoring the fact Gila was in Glendale when most of the fanbase is located in Scottsdale and the fact the yotes were so garbage, I have a hard time seeing any Canadian team not named Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver being able to draw in fans if they were yotes level bad

Yeah it sucks, this team is about to turn a corner and it should be in az, the isles had the same sitution with belmont park a few years ago and got it figured it out. they should get something done in north phoenix soon

Would be like when the North Stars went to Dallas and when Quebec becames the Avs. Unfair to the fans who stuck by them through thick and thin. Fingers crossed 🤞

Avs decline. Nothing that interests them there and no cap for adding them.

Been there done that with Kerfoot and why do the Avs burn cap space they don’t have for guys that don’t move the needle, and why burn draft capital on guys they don’t need? COL is almost guaranteed to move salary out this summer not take it in. Not well thought out.

I don’t see KH making a move like this unless he deems that either he needs the cap space, or doesn’t see a future for Barron in the NHL.

I don’t think he’s ready to throw in the towel on Barron yet, but time is running out.

Try and find someone with a Lehky type player if you can. Fan base will hate it at first but grow to love the player.
