Description

We will have a ton of cap space and basically want our young guys to continue to get their roles increased. I can see Leonard given a Wilson spot to start out on L4 then gradually moving his way up the lineup especially when Oshie inevitably gets hurt. But would a big-ticket FA signing be the way or what do yall think

They should go shopping in free agency, for what Idk but need to ice a competitive product while Ovie is chasing Gretzky's record, they're too good to be a bottom feeder unless they get decimated by injuries but you can't plan on that so should add some talent in free agency.

Trade for Zegras, Pinto, Dach, PLD, Schmaltz, Laine or whichever disgruntled under 30 years old star who needs a trade.

Leonard won't start on the 4th line. The Caps have learned their lesson from stunting Wilson's growth for years doing the same thing. If he's in the NHL next year, Miroshnichenko gets bumped to the left side and Milano moves to the 4th, and Leonard/Oshie can fight over the top line (if Oshie is still around).

Also hard to think they'd buy out Kuemper, especially if they aren't going to spend that money elsewhere.
