I think that it would be a mistake to give up on Ryan Graves just because it's taken him a year to settle in.

You're short on 6 of the 8 RFAs, but even if you don't move Smith and Graves out you'll have enough to re-sign them.

Graves' doesn't fit Calgary's timeline unless he comes with significant retention. At his age that's too much money for too many years for a team that needs and wants to get younger.
