If Iginla is theee I wouldn’t be upset if the sharks pick him but I have a feeling they reach for a RD with that 2nd 1st. My choices would be Yakemchuk #1, Parekh #2 (if either are available) and Jiricek #3. The massive need might take prevident over best player available. They may also trade back to pick up some picks and draft Jiricek in the 16-20 range.

I've been wondering if this may be a repeat of 2022 where we traded back the 11th pick. This time with the the Blackhawks that have the lightning pick and 3 other 2nd rounders (give us 2 of them) like AZ did.

But at the same time, we needed to fill up the cupboard and now we need high end skill.

In 22 we needed bodies in 24 we need skill position upgrades, if anything they may move a 2nd to move up and get one of the RD

But if our scouts are high on Jiricek and feel he will fully recover from this injury they may trade back a bit to get him and another 2nd maybe next year or this year

Catton at 11 is a steal for New Jersey.

I'd like either Jiricek or Elick if we draft back. I would aim for the stars and try picking up Buium since he plays both sides of the ice and would be our best defensemen that can QB our PP.

Elick I wouldn’t touch till the 2nd round he’s a decent defensive D but has little to no offensive impact and we need an offensive top 4 RD, and Mukhamadulin plays both side as well so if he is willing to play RD I don’t mind the idea of Dickenson to pair with him
