I think Ottawa would do that but Calgary probably wants more for Andersson. Not a whole lot more and no not Brannstrom a player or prospect Calgary has a want/need/use for.

Actually, it's pretty close to value... I'd say he's worth 9 to 12 choice this year... would not trade for him with a top 8 pick though...

rasmus is worth a pick 15-32 not top 15, hes is not a top end D in the league in the likes of Makar, Hughes, Fox or Dobson

Makar would have cost Chicago their first last year to acquire (Bedard), Hughes, Dobson, and Fox would cost a 1OA this year to get. If you had picks 8,9,10,11, and 12 put together, you could not acquire those guys.

This year, a top 7 pick is like a top 4 pick in most other years, so they're not going anywhere... but if a team believes it's in its competitive window, it will acquire a guy like Andersson if it has like a 9OVR... if it needs a guy like Andersson.

Most relevant trade is Islanders trading for Romanov which cost them 13OVR. Andersson's status is higher than Romanov's right now, on top of his being extremely affordable and with term left.

no freaking team is going to give up a top 10 pick for rasmus, what other teams paid for other players has ZERO to do with what a team will give up for rasmus. just because lou was dumb enough to give up 13th for Romanov don't mean a GM will give up a top 10 pick for rasmus.

Lou's stupid for picking up a 2-3 D with a pick which... you HOPE ONE DAY can get a 2-3 D with? He could have used that pick to draft legendary D like Brandon Gormley, or Jakub Zboril, or Jake Bean...

No, no, I'm sure he needed that pick to draft Frank Nazar, who might one day be a middle six forward who has power play utility, ranking at best top 40 to 50 at his position.

Instead, he gets currently one of the best minute chewing D in the league.
