What is this fantasy that Leaf fans that they think Kampf has no value then then can trade him for picks?
Kampf stays, and then the Leafs have enough cap to sign one of Bertuzzi or Domi. (my preference is Domi cause the Leafs need a centre,). Then Reaves stays. Hey that's a 22 man roster
Then that leaves 8m to sign two NHL Dmen. Leafs would have to overpay for Roy (another silly Leaf fantasy), but for 8m Leafs could certainly get two very competent NHL Dmen, and no need to trade for one.

I don't think Treliving re-signs Liljegren or Robertson, not his type of players. Plus they can refill our terrible draft pool. Or be good sweeteners to get rid of bad contracts like Kampf or Reaves or Tavares.
Especially Lijegren at 3M on 3rd pair makes no sense , get cheaper shutdown guy there.
TML need a shutdown defense pair for 3rd.
And edmundosn was making 3 m , seriously doubt he takes less.

I absolutely think Kampf has value... Hence why I traded him for 2 picks. I really like Kampf and the highest likelihood is we keep him. BUT in this AGM I moved him to get the cap to fill out the rest of the roster.

I disagree that he would clear waivers. Very good defensive bottom 6 forward. Knows his role very well. I think a few teams would easily claim him. 1-2 mid picks is reasonable in my mind. You may be right but I doubt it. Kampf is solid!

I don’t mind him but we already have Acciari who we may need to move on from anyway. He doesn’t fit a need for us.
