Some Wings fans might be on the fence about this but I would just rather keep Soderblom. I would rather take my time with Soderblom and see what he becomes. He has a nice blend of size and skill, need to improve his skating though. I don't mind the idea of adding Barron though.

I wouldn't do this.

Elmer can be dominant with the puck, as he showed in a small sample size last season. Red Wings need size and players who can hold onto the puck. Even if Söderblom doesn't become more than a bottom-6F, he will be a really important one in that role. And a fan favorite.

Zero chance of Detroit making this trade, Don't see Barron being much of an upgrade over Soderblom.
