Pretty much my idea of an ideal off-season except that I think Byfield's bridge deal will be about a million more, so we won't be able to keep Grundstrom and therefore won't trade Kaliyev or sign Clutterbuck. (I don't think that we'll need that Islanders second to land Linus Ullmark.) Moore -- Danault -- Arvidsson/Fiala has been our most productive and consistent front line since January 1, 2023 -- that's right, 2023, not 2024 -- so we won't be breaking them up, in my opinion. I doubt that Portillo is ready so we'll re-sign David Rittich or Phoenix Copley for about $1.25 million.

Linus Ullmark already said no to the LAJK, He wants the East Coast only.

And Hometown Detroit offers more than that for Matt Roy.

My assumption is any deal for Ullmark that isn’t in his no trade list would require an extension.

Saying no during the season where he’s going to be separated from his kids is different than saying no if a team is offering you long term security and your current team becomes one of the least stable long term options

None of us knows what Ullmark would do in this situation. That said, that’s not a deal I would consider if so were Boston. I’d rather have the year of outstanding goalie performance
