Would LOVE Ullmark for next year and would absolutely pay a first for him. There is no cap room though and adding cap on the goalie spots is to say the least, difficult..

Could the AHL help Poitras? He got really beat up in the NHL.

Heinen has been great but how long can you keep Merk/Lysell down? I would hope they leave 1 middle six spot up for grabs. At this point they should just trade them if they're not going to play them.

did he though? he hurt his shoulder - those things happen.

you said it, heinen has been great. why ditch that? he's not going to be expensive.

didn't forget poitras, was just an exercise in filling out the roster without the ELC guys. i would expect to see Brazeau Poitras Beecher Lysell Merkulov fighting to fill out the roster in camp next season.

I think he's going to ask 3m-3.5m, no? Going to end up being a .5 ppg player.

I think they throw the bag at Hanifin, probably looking for a top 6 center. If they re-sign DeBrusk, which is very much up in the air, I don't see him fitting.

I wouldn't think he gets that much. Keep in mind, the entire league overlooked him last year - there's a reason for that. also keep in mind basically all of his success has come in boston, i would think that would make him motivated to stay. he's bounced around quite a bit. I think a 2x2-2.5 deal makes sense for both sides. That Heinen - Zacha - Pasta line just works.

Bert was a rental, one and done

OEL is trash and definitely not a top pairing Dman and Spoons a 7th Dman

Somethings gotta give with Poitras, Merkulov, and Lysell

Avs aren't trading for Ullmark without at least the same amount of cap going back and it would almost certainly have to include Georgiev. They simply don't have any cap space to do it and even then they'd probably have no cap space for re-signing him.
