I have my doubts that Columbus would even consider retaining on Kuraly, and I would prefer to bring in someone who is not going to leave right away. I like the idea of going after Whitecloud, but I very much doubt that Vegas is interested in moving on from a young cheap defender with some team control.

We should get a good indication what they are going to do next week at Adams press conference he usually does what he says.

Short term center makes more sense IMO, have plenty of centers ready to come up from Rochester in the next 1-2 years. Yeah I don’t think VGK move Whitecloud just have seen his play struggling a bit this year maybe a trade happens if VGK has a short playoff run.

I don't know if that quite gets it done for Columbus with the retention, but it's certainly close. Maybe a 3rd retained, but you can keep Rousek, unless you're dead set on moving a contract.
