Devils can't deal that 2nd as it is conditional for Jake Allen.

I have to ask, why is Lauko always thrown into these deals?

It’ll be fascinating to see what Jersey does to fill the goalie situation. I personally believe that Ullmark is the best option at the relative price for a decent period of time with an extension.

Holtz is going to be interesting in terms of how he’s valued. In one sense, he’s talented enough to be worth more than the 2025 first. In another, he’s had a couple of coaches minimize his role and he has some risks.

Lauko is likely an insurance policy that cycles between Providence and Boston. It’s OK if he is exposed via waivers. Hes still useful even if he isn’t on the NHL roster
