Massive overpay for a guy who has barely broken 50 points. Beck looks like an amazing 3c

Ok what would be your offer then ? Necas had 71 points last year, he is 25 and hits his prime.

Would be a bad idea to give up Harris and Barron, if Guhle went to move up

What would you give ? Hurricanes need young defence for Salary Cap. We have Mailloux, Struble, Engstrom and Konyushkov coming. You have to give if you want to get good players.

If we grab a talent like Celebrini, I think we have no use to go for Necas.
We would have: Celebrini, Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Dach, Roy, Newhook

Max Domi had 70+ too once, still dont want him
Necas is a good fit for CAR but head to head with Caufield saw CC with better numbers after turning Pro at the same age.
Necas is good in the same way Pacioretty was and though i loved the old Captain while he was here , i wouldnt trade for him had he been drafted by CAR.

Why?
I'd rather invest in what we got
Now that Top line is set MSL can focus on Newhook, Dach,Roy and soon Florian Xhekaj
Mesar, Beck,Davidson,Kapanen and whomever we draft top 5 will likely be ready in the next year or two to play Pro hockey at the AHL level at least.

IF anything i'd rather try to sign Monahan to a 1-2 year deal at whatever cap up to 6m for 1 year and 4.5m for 2
He helped so many of our youth the last 2 seasons and who wouldnt want a chance to get a 3rd first round pick of a Monahan Trade
