Description

The Lund Line has been electric the past 5 games or so, but I think they need to be split up to distribute the offensive talent to more than one line. Eklund has good chemistry with Kunin, and I think giving Gush a shot on that top line would be fun. They need a pure sniper on that line as well. Also Graf needs someone that can distribute the puck and hold possession and that's Eklund's bread and butter

They played Labanc last game for their home closer, so I think that was them giving him his last game as a Shark.

Blackwood started last game so I think they go Romanov and Cooley to end the season, especially with Cooley playing so well his past two games.

Pairing Thompson with Vlasic to give him some opportunity to play with a vet and a guy that stays home while Thompson can maybe be the breakout guy

Looks nice! Would like to see them give Bords and/or Eky a look at Center just to see how their skillsets translate.

All I need is to not see Labanc or Hoffman on the ice and I'm content.

They had Eklund at center for a decent chunk when Hertl and Couture both went back on LTIR after the all-star break, and Bords started the season at center. I think Bords will likely be a winger from now on, he seems much more natural there. i could see Eklund sliding to center in a year or two (especially when/if Musty and Gushchin push for top 6 LW spots, and if Smith ends up being more of a RW) but as of now he just doesn't look ready for it.

Yeah that's a good point they've had a couple goes for sure. Eklund has definitely improved since then as well. Bords does seem like a better winger at this point, but it would be cool to see him with some more talented players as well. Definitely better not to force him into a role he's unprepared for but man the center depth would be helpful.
