Edmonton will just buy out Campbell for that price.

No interest in yet another LHD prospect in Winnipeg. I don't think there's a deal to be made for Perfetti > Pittsburgh.

Nice another Smith to Vegas post as bad as the rest. If Vegas is trading players for cap space, they're not taking back a player worse than both the players being traded away that would be less savings than you could pay a league min player, it makes absolutely no sense

I'd consider the rangers trade if they removed the draft pick.
Kakko just hasn't played well enough to be worth all that.
I put his value at about a 3rd. Which is about the value of acciari

Edmonton has no intention of taking on MORE cap hit for the cost of a very good young defenseman + 1st + 2nd. The whole point of moving Campbell would be to save money.

Look at it this way: they could keep Campbell in the minors ($3.85M) and re-sign Pickard ($1.5M) for the same price as Jarry ($5.35M). They would have better goaltending, a 1st, a 2nd, and Broberg - win, win, win, win.

Oilers decline.

He’s 23 years old, he’s a high end defensive forward, who’s had a bad year but a career high of 40 pts with only 14m per game.
The rangers
1. Aren’t moving him in the division without a massive overpay.
2. Aren’t moving him for a 31 year old winger who provides less than he does.

You mean like everyone was saying that about Laf before this season?

no one said that about laf and you are comparing apples and oranges. Laf was 21 years old last season. Kakko is 23 and had 5 seasons to do ...well anything.
He's a 2OA and he's a bust at this point. No one spends a 2OA for that production. No one. Truth is, if he wasn't a 2OA the leash would be a whole lot shorter on him and you know it.
