Real curious what Dubas intends to do, is he going to try and refresh what he can where he can and let the boys take another crack, or start dismantling?

There's prescious little time left for the core so any retool has to happen on the fly.

reilly never fit, which was really disappointing. I had really high hopes and he had really good chemistry with malkin for like 2 weeks. then he just disappeared the rest of the season. i like the upside with arvidsson but he was injured all year so many gm might hesitate to offer him a multi-year contract. he's kinda hard to judge since hes got a real good track record but comin off being injured all year long so his market come this july will be interesting.

I like the 3rd pairing, but we could do without Arvidsson, Wennberg and Ned.

You got to have some faith in the youth on this team.
Blom needs an opportunity. He's got nothing left to prove at the AHL level. So there is your goalie.
If you want a security blanket find someone you can sign for 1 mil and dump in the AHL.

As far as Wennberg, he's never been that good. His stats this year are pretty bad. You might as well play Poulin or Koivunen. You could even give Broz a shot there if they can sign him.

As for Arvidsson, I rather not bring in a 32 year old who is frequently injured with back problems. They need consistency with the high level play. Not 60 games if they are lucky.
I think the best answer to the LW might already be in the organization in Yager. There are a hand full of other LW, but none of them are true 1LW, they are all kind of middle 6 guys.
That 30 goal scorer type just isn't there.
You also run the problem of having Crosby be the biggest guy on his line again. Historically speaking..... that doesn't work.
